Frequently Asked Questions Q. Will my photo be harmed?
A. No, your photo will not be harmed in any, and will be
returned to you in the same condition we
receive it.
Q. How do I get my photo to you?
A. You can either mail or drop off your photo to
us. You can also E-Mail your photo, but it should be sent as a TIFF file at
300 DPI or higher. It can also be sent as a
JPG file but may lose some detail. Call us if you want to use this method.
Q. What about digital photos?
A. We have had good results with digital photos
provided they are taken at the highest resolution possible. These photos can
be saved on a disk or E-Mailed.
Q. How does my photo get engraved in the plaque?
A. Your photo is scanned into our computer. That
image is then fitted and sized through a series of steps so it will fit
on your particular plaque. That image is then
sent to our laser and physically burned into the material.
Q. Do I have to supply the wood?
A. No, we have several types of wood available.
All of our wood has been dried and sanded before we begin.
Q. Can I see a proof before you do the actual
engraving?
A. Yes. We will supply a proof prior to beginning
the engraving if you request one. The easiest way is to send it by E-Mail,
so we ask you include your E-Mail address with
your order if you'd like a proof.
